HÆRVEJSLØBET – the Viking Gran Fondo is an unforgettable ride following the natural ridge that was formed through Denmark during the last ice age. Here the ancient road – Hærvejen (literally meaning “the army road”) – has over the centuries helped migrants, pilgrims, merchants - and Vikings - stay dry as they made their way through the Danish peninsula Jutland.

Today cyclists are riding the old thoroughfares– and if you are riding a road bike you will even be part of L’Etape Denmark by Tour de France. Tighten your helmet and let’s go!

The Gran Fondo has 15 different routes to choose between – all leading to a common meeting point ”Paradepladsen” (”The Parade Square” – in a former barracks) in the city of Viborg.

The Queen Stage of L’Etape Denmark by Tour de France is the 300 kms road tour from Flensburg in Germany to Viborg. There are also road tours of 160 kms, 125 kms, 75 kms and 50 kms. 
For mountain bikers there are tours from 40 to 165 kms – the longer starting in Jelling, the former Viking Capital of Denmark.


Finally there are gravel tours from 50 to 175 kms, so there is for sure a route for all.

We offer different fixed packages including start number, accommodation, transfer on race (rider and luggage), touristic programs etc.
We also tailormake programs for groups. Please contact us for further information.
